Camp Bentzon

2020 Camp dates:

Tuesday 27 October - Friday 30th October

Final notice before camp

Dear Parents,

Camp time is almost upon us. Here are a few reminders and things to organise over the weekend in preparation for our Tuesday departure.

  • All students and parents attending camp need to be at school by 7:45am. Please park down the driveway so the bus can get as close to school as possible. Students will take their gear bag, sleeping bag, and backpack and assemble by the wooden playground. Please do not bring any additional luggage.

  • Parents attending camp should have paid their fee to the school office before we leave for camp.

  • Backpack needs to have a packed morning tea & lunch, drink bottle, raincoat, basic first aid kit, togs & towel (additionally, for unpacking upon arrival at camp: container of home baking inside it, named hand towel, and tea towel.).

  • No electronics on camp or lollies.

  • If you need to contact us at camp for an emergency, please call the camp manager on 09 422 8807. Alternatively, contact our school office and they will attempt to reach us. Mobile phone coverage is very limited.

  • If your child is bringing medication for an ongoing illness, please bring it to camp in a named plastic bag with dosage instructions. We will collect these off your child prior to getting on the bus.

  • We return on Friday 1st November at approximately 4pm depending on the traffic conditions.

Fingers crossed for great weather and lots of happy campers.

See you all on Tuesday. Enjoy your Labour weekend.

Kind regards,

Tim Christie & Amber Durling
